Laser Engineering
Service Alignment Technician Due to the continued expansion of the Service Department we are now seeking a candidate with a strong electromechanical background and experience of servicing high value capital equipment. The ideal candidate should also be able to demonstrate good communication skills, basic IT knowledge and a flexible attitude. The position is factory based and will primarily involve the alignment and test of CO2 laser systems and ancillary components. (Ref SV02) Laser Engineers Due to the expansion of our business, we have an opportunity for a graduate engineer to join our Laser and Optics Group developing CO2 and solid state laser systems. The candidate should have a good theoretical background in laser physics, enjoy the challenge of problem solving, be self motivated and have excellent experimental and communication skills. An appreciation of mechanical and electronics engineering would be an added advantage. (Ref LE 07) RF Design Engineer To support and contribute to the design of innovative solid state high power 82MHz VHF amplifiers used to drive laser discharges. Experience in high power ( 1 to 20kW ) RF circuit design, combiner and coupling techniques and EMC compliance is required. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of industrial design experience in a volume manufacturing environment. (Ref RE 06) Laser Technician To support our multi-disciplined engineering team developing lasers and associated systems. The candidate should be qualified to HNC level or equivalent and possess excellent practical/ mechanical skills together with an understanding of electronics and optics. (Ref RL 03) RF Technician To support the high power RF design activity. Qualified to HNC level or equivalent. The candidate should have a sound understanding of RF methods and measurement techniques and have the ability to work independently when required.
